Eric Carle’s Tips on How to Work with Wet Tissue Papers

Here is how I prevent my wet tissue papers from sticking to old newspapers which I have spread on the floor.

  1. I paint the first sheet of tissue paper and place it on the newspaper.
  2. I paint the second sheet and place it next to the first sheet. Then I briefly lift the first sheet ever so lightly.
  3. I paint the third sheet and place it next to the second sheet, then I briefly lift the second sheet and first sheet ...you get the idea.

After you have lifted each sheet two or three times, they will have dried sufficiently and won’t stick anymore.
